Bridging UK-Jiangsu Innovation Partnership Workshop

Following a successful collaboration with the UK in the China-UK Newton Fund programme, the provincial Jiangsu Science & Technology Department (JSTD) is bringing a delegation of healthcare and smart city companies to London to strengthen the innovation partnership with the UK. This initiative is organised by the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) with the support from Innovate UK and BIS.

As one the most innovative provinces in China, Jiangsu has 10% of China's GDP and around US$1b annual R&D budget. It has a strong interest to build direct links with the UK innovative businesses and research organisations to maintain its competitive edge. The Jiangsu Innovation Fund also offers an opportunity for Chinese businesses to access funding for cooperation with UK partners.

The inward visit to London will comprise an Innovation Bridging Workshop hosted by KTN at the Digital Catapult Centre on Monday 20th June 2016. The workshop will be an opportunity for UK businesses and research organisations to find out about Jiangsu’s innovation landscape and meet its regional businesses.

The Jiangsu companies cover a range of sectors, including the built environment, transport, smart cities, agritech and healthcare.
